Baby Spinach & Mesclun Recall — Foster's IGA

Baby Spinach & Mesclun Recall

January 24, 2019 | NOT AFFECTED

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that the Satur Farms has issued a voluntary recall on baby spinach and mesclun due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

Salmonella is a toxic organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and produce more severe illnesses.

Foster’s IGA does not carry any of the affected products and has not been affected by this recall. For more information on the affected products-click here.

No other Satur Farms branded product is included within this recall.

Customers should check the UPC’s on Satur Farms branded products at homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased. We encourage all customers who have purchased this product from any of our Foster’s IGA locations to return the affected product for a full refund. Please discontinue use of any affected product
